About Me
Jacenta is a sound designer and technician in the LA area. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from California Institute of the Arts and works in Theatre with a strong interest in Film, Animation, and Video games. She has experience with music and has worked a few other outside theatre shows such as "Paradise" at Odyssey and Matrix Theater, and "Fight Song" at the 2019 Hollywood and Edinburgh Fringe.
Artist Statement
I have always been a fan of the underdog and to me, sound is THE underdog. Having been trained in classical music for years, my ears have become accustomed to listening to the expressions in sound. Sound can be used to manipulate people’s emotions and also help create a picture in someone's mind. As a designer, I want to use sound to help create those emotions and images, to portray my thoughts, as well as to support someone's ideas.
